Health & Safety

Llain Activity Centre do not provide ‘licensable activities’ by the definition of the Health and Safety Executive. However, occassionally an external provider may by brought in to run licensable activities such Coasteering or Sea kayaking for which we use our sister company ‘Activity Pembrokeshire’ who are proud to be licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Service, to provide adventure activities to under 18s.

The Activity Pembrokeshire license can be viewed at

AALS – Activity Pembrokeshire Ltd (hse.gov.uk)

Any activities that are not covered by the licence are taught by instructors with the relevant NGB qualifications, or who have undergone comprehensive ‘in house training’ and assessments delivered by our senior staff and technical advisers. Our ‘Centre File’ contains all information about our business along with Risk assessments, Operating Procedures, staff qualifications for all activities as well as all our policies.

All Instructional staff hold First Aid certificates, have undergone DBS enhanced disclosure checks and are encouraged to attend regular continued professional development (CPD) courses.
